This is just a summary for others to build on.   Evan Jones b 1859 at Pen y Gaer, Llanwyddelan. “ Evan emigrated to America, I can vaguely remember him coming to visit us when I was small, he lived in Pittsburg, and married a girl named Ellen.” (Rose's Journal). In 1871, Evan was living with his M&F on Lloyds Passage, Welshpool. He returned to Wales and is down on the 1901 census, aged 41 and living, with his wife, Ellen, and children at 3 Pentyrch, Llanfair Caereinion. Children: (1901) John; David Richard and Thomas Evan. Hilda Mcsorley's Ancestry tree says he and Ellen were married on 30 th June 1883 at Conway and he died about 1903 in Llandudno.   Jack Jones b 1861 in Welshpool. “Jack was, in my Mother's words, a "bad boy". While we appreciated the profile raising others do, Jo Whiley had said that people with learning disabilities couldn’t fight for themselves. From a working class family in the poorest part of town I passed for Grammar School but, although in the A stream throughout, I engineered my departure at age 15, rebelling against the gross class distinction and snobbery there. I served a five year apprenticeship with the Wales Gas Board and practised as a Gas Fitter in Llandudno, London, Shropshire, Denbighshire, Guernsey and back to Llandudno until 1968 when I started pre-professional work as a trainee child care worker.
