The death of David Gray at the hands of the out of hours doctor Daniel Ubani is scandal enough but far worse (if you can get far worse?) is David’s son Dr Stuart Gray’s revalation that the PCT responsible breached the law and acted illegally. Yet no sanctions have been applied either to the organisation or any individual inside the organisation.
It seem then that like QUANGOs (See my attempts to render CPPIH accountable on http://www.ppeyes.org.uk/ppeyesdossier.html between 179 and 292), PCTs are completely unaccountable and can literally ‘get away with murder.’
Where does this leave PCTs in respect of CQC registration? Does this tragedy make a mockery of that?
Mike.
